I don’t know about you but I am absolutely jumping for joy at the return of Minder on Channel 5. It was the nations favourite television show in the 1980’s and now it’s back with a new star, one of the nations favourite personalities Shane Richie. Well now it’s back and what’s more it’s joined with another favourite as GetMinted Casino sponsor New Minder on Channel 5. 

You may be wondering how Minder could possibly make a return and even more be as good as before. George Cole is not appearing in this, the octogenarian actor may now feel that he’s gone past ducking and diving around London instead Shane Richie plays Archie Daley, Arthurs nephew and it has to be said he is convincing in the role. The theme tune remains the same although rerecorded and no longer sung by Dennis Waterman who also fails to make an appearance.

Whether it’s a success if yet to be seen, it’s hard to know if this show that encapsulated Thatcher’s Britain can possibly work in the new century but clearly GetMinted Casino feel it can and have thrown their considerable weight behind it.
