When its comes to advertising online casinos we have seen quite a few of late on our television screens and one that stands out from crowd is the Ladbrokes Casino advert. Although it is not clear until right at the end of the commercial what exactly is being advertised it’s definitely a fun campaign and the tag line ‘don’t hide from thrills, seek them out at Ladbrokes Casino’ is a great one.

As with all advertising for online slots sites, airing of the advert is intermittent.

The opening scene of the Ladbrokes Casino advert shows a man running down a street, he looks as if he is running from something and it soon becomes apparent that a game of hide and seek is taking place. As he runs through the street looking for somewhere to hide you see other people shutting themselves in little nooks and crannies, concealing themselves from the seeker.

There is also the sound of someone, or something, counting as the main character finally finds a bin to hide in. When the countdown stops a monkey then starts seeking out the hiders, eventually landing on the bin with the main character in. At this point the tag line is incorporated in the Ladbrokes Casino advert.

This campaign originally launched back in April 2009 and followed a ban from the Advertising Standards Agency (ASA) after the previous offerings from Ladbrokes Casino where deemed to breach the CAP TV Advertising Standards. Of course Ladbrokes were none too pleased and accused the ASA of “banning humour”.
