Will Disney purchase of Marvel affect Cryptologic slots?

Many online slots available at sites like Intercasino are based on the Marvel characters and on 31st August Disney purchased Marvel. So will the Disney purchase of Marvel affect the Cryptologic slots? It is very unlikely because as with any exclusive gaming rights like that between Marvel and Cryptologic there will have been some sort of financial renumeration and all of this will have been covered in the contract between Disney and Marvel before the acquisition took place.

However Intercasino and many others using this casino software must be a little concerned as some of their most popular online slots like Spiderman Revelation, Iron Man and the Fantastic Four slots could be affected if Disney choose to remove the exclusive gaming rights for Cryptologic.

The current deal does not expire until 2011 but if Disney choose to take the Marvel Heroes to the theme parks and other areas under the Disney name then they may not wish to have their characters associated with online gaming or gambling in any form.

All the Cryptologic online slots sites have a couple of years grace to see where Disney decide to go with the Marvel name but it would be a shame to see some of the best online slots games disappear because of the $4 billion acquisition by Disney.
