William Hill Casino and PlayTech

WilliamHill Casino currently uses the WagerLogic software to power their online slots games but things are set to change at the end of December 2008 as WilliamHill Casino and PlayTech sign a deal which sees the sports betting giants acquiring parts of PlayTech. WilliamHill are taking on affiliate marketing business, customer services operations, websites and gaming brands from Playtech.
WilliamHill Casino have also agreed a five year deal for the software licence for poker and online slots as well as all other casino games.
WilliamHill’s Chief Executive, Ralph Topping, had this to say about the “deferred acquisition” – “This will make us the number one online sports and gaming provider measured by profitability”.
The question is will the change from the WagerLogic to the PlayTech software see online slots players moving to a different online casino or will it be the brand name that keeps them playing at William Hill Casino?
With WilliamHill Casino and PlayTech coming together there will be a different set of online slots available at the site when the changes are implemented and could this mean that in order to play their favourite online slots casino players need to take their custom to another online casino?
Time will tell if the WilliamHill Casino and PlayTech deal is benefical to online casino players but in the meantime nothing has changed at WilliamHill Casino; you can still enjoy the usual WagerLogic online slots for the time being.
